Rev. Gaspar V. Garcia, Ph.D.

As Pastor of the Church of Divine Grace, Rev. Garcia provides spiritual leadership and guidance to its members. He teaches and oversees others who teach God’s Word and ministers to the body according to need or by inspiration. The Church of Divine Grace offers weekly Sunday worship service (Bible teaching), and Children’s Bible Study “Children’s Fellowship”. Tuesday nights are dedicated to prayer and worship.  Study nights may include previously recorded teachings from other Pastors and Teachers of God’s Word, in an open environment with interactive dialogue. 

Rev. Garcia provides Christian family counseling, marriage counseling, pre-marital counseling and Bible-based counseling to persons and families in need. He performs weddings, dedication of children to the Lord, and presides at funerals. “The Good News Letter" is a monthly publication of the Church which is circulated in hard copy, electronically and by US Mail to out of town subscribers and friends of the Church.  Rev. Garcia conducts Biblical Seminars in person and other teaching series from time-to-time.

About Us

The Church of Divine Grace is located in Davie, Florida to serve spiritual needs in the Broward, Miami-Dade and surrounding area for those who seek to fellowship together and study the Bible, and who hunger and thirst to learn about the Kingdom of God and the Lord Jesus Christ.  The Church is an extended “home-based” fellowship that has been on–going for more than 20 years.  The foundation for the activities of the Church of Divine Grace is the Word of God as we endeavor to learn, teach and practice the truth of God’s rightly divided Word, and to walk in the steps of our Lord Jesus Christ. 

Church of Divine Grace activities include: 

Biblical Teaching and Fellowship - This activity consists of Bible research and study for the purpose of teaching the most accurate understanding of biblical passages. It is offered twice per week with integral components of prayer, worship and praise of the Almighty God, songs and teaching of the Gospel. It is offered to educate, build and fortify believers in the Biblical principles as expounded in the Bible and particularly as taught by the Lord Jesus Christ, and His disciples. This service is open to all. It is provided for spiritual growth and well-being, and for a deeper understanding of God’s Word.  These services are conducted Sunday mornings at 10:30 am, and on special occasions at 16220 Oneida Place, Davie, Florida. Everyone is welcome to our open-door environment for fellowship and worship. 

Prayer Meetings - Are conducted weekly to bring believers of God’s promises together to pray to the Lord for His interventions in the issues of daily living, for healing of body, and soul, soundness of mind, and for the continued supply of God’s abundance into our lives. While prayer is conducted at every meeting, a special prayer service is conducted at the Davie location every Tuesday evening at 8:00 PM. Prayer service is on-going since 1998, and is open to everyone to enhance quality of spiritual life. 

Biblical Teaching Seminars - Biblical Seminars are designed to provide concentrated instruction and understanding in a selected area or field of Biblical study. For example:
His-Story God’s Purpose For the Ages - is a ten session audio presentation which expounds on God’s purpose for man, the need for a savior, why God sent Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son to be the sacrifice for man, God’s rich rewards for man and the Hope of Christ’s return. Heart of Christian Living - is a seven session tape seminar that teaches God’s desire for man to change his heart to that of Christ’s. It encourages improvement of the quality of life in every day living by applying a heart felt desire to change from within by the individual. The class endeavors to bring man closer to God spiritually by teaching God’s principles and desires as stated in the Bible. (Taped - Vincent Finnegan, Christian Biblical Counsel)
Marriage Alive - is a twelve-session seminar presented live on a weekly basis for twelve weeks to married couples seeking to live more godly lives under the love and admonition of the Lord. It focuses on the roles of the husband and the wife as defined by Biblical principles and does an in depth study on thankfulness, forgiveness, honoring one another, problem solving, and sexual intimacy. We offer this seminar, and shorter versions yearly and on special occasions. (Live Teachings) 

Study of the book of Romans – This Study of Romans helps us understand Christian faith and practice. It makes known the Gospel of Christ and explains that salvation is based upon having faith in what God has done in the Messiah, Jesus the Christ. It answers the questions of, why man needed a savior, why the Law of Moses could not provide salvation, and teaches that God is not a respecter of persons, but that all men, Jew and Gentile must obey and have faith in the promises of God. It teaches what Jesus Christ accomplished through His sacrifice, and shows that we are freed from the sin of Adam and from the Mosaic Law, with instructions on becoming a living sacrifice for God. Other Studies and Biblical Teachings - These Bible studies and seminars, as well as others are presented at no cost when possible or at a nominal cost to the participants to cover the out of pocket expenses for materials, refreshments and rental of facilities. Studies are scheduled to coincide with Church teachings or as need and interest is discerned. Some studies have pre-requisites for admission in order to facilitate deeper understanding. Children’s Fellowship - Children’s Fellowship is offered to provide adults an opportunity to receive God’s Word free of the distraction of children under the age of twelve. It is provided on Sundays at 10:30 AM. Children’s Fellowship allows God’s Word to be taught to children in a proper learning environment where children can learn about God and His Word through didactic teaching and the application of arts and crafts to enhance practical understanding of Biblical principles at a level easy for children to comprehend. These sessions offer Children the knowledge and application of godly principles for them to apply in their lives. The profit is to the church, to our community and society at large as children grow up applying Christian principles of love, kindness, peace, patience, tolerance, and forgiveness, among others. 

Toddler’s Fellowship - Allows a parent or adult to lead toddlers in learning simple facts about God, Jesus, the Bible and the Christian lifestyle. Each teaching is accentuated with a craft that has practical application and can serve the parents to work with the children at home. 

Nursing Moms - Mothers are provided a closed room with live-audio of the teaching on Sundays and special events. 

Church Newsletter - Since April 1999 the Church of Divine Grace initiated a Monthly newsletter “Good News Letter” to further communicate God’s Word through written text for persons who desire to enjoy reading God’s Word. A schedule of Fellowship activities is included in the newsletter. There is no charge for this newsletter and we E-mail and U.S. Post mail it to those who cannot attend our meetings, but who desire to receive the information in the newsletter. This newsletter provides in a large measure God’s Word of love, peace, deliverance, divine grace and mercy to persons in search of hope and salvation, and who are seeking a spiritual relationship with God. The Newsletter promotes the fulfillment of heralding forth the Gospel of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ, and in performing the Ministry of Reconciliation. 

Taped Teachings – Select teachings are recorded and made available for distribution at a nominal cost, or by a monthly subscription. 

Family Camp – The Church of Divine Grace hosts an annual Family Camp held locally in Florida for individuals and families who desire a more intimate and secluded spiritual experience in the study of God’s Word, prayer and fellowship. Family Camp is exclusive for the teaching and putting into practice of a biblical topic for the camp. It consists of teachings and activities conducive to, and encouraging a more wholesome, godly and spiritual Christian lifestyle. The Family Camp is held away from the daily distractions of the world in a secluded environment that promotes peace and harmony with God and with each other. The title Family Camp does not denote exclusivity of the physical earthly family, but rather points to the larger Christian family. All are welcome.
